A single stem rises from the depths, crowned by a pale, shell-like bloom with tips of red – part sea anemone, part coral, part flower from a dream beneath the waves.
Acrylic in rust, copper and sage green is pressed onto deckle-edged cotton paper and traced with loose, flowing ink lines. Copper acrylic shimmers along the stem like light filtered through water, oil pastel sets dark accents in its core, and soft watercolor washes in pale blue and teal let the leaves drift as if moved by a current.
The fifth work in the “Ocean” series is its most botanical: a portrait of underwater growth, quiet and upright, holding its ground against the tide.
Original, signed with the artist’s blind-embossed seal. Cotton paper with natural deckled edges, unframed.
