Two figures lean toward each other and merge into one form: a bird-like creature with a red crest and sharp beak, and a quiet human profile beneath a blue-green wing. Together they taper downward like the tail of a fish.
Acrylic in sage green, coral and rust is layered on deckle-edged cotton paper and shaped with fine ink lines and hatching. A red core runs through the center, copper acrylic catches the light, and oil pastel shadows add depth.
The eighth work in the “Ocean” series is about encounter: sailor and seabird, human and sea, bound by the same current.
