A red-hulled sailing boat rests on calm water, its pale sails catching the last light. At the bow and stern, small figures settle in, as if the journey has just ended or is about to begin.
Acrylic in sage green, rust and soft blue is pressed onto deckle-edged cotton paper and drawn over with fine ink. Copper acrylic warms the hull and sails, oil pastel adds texture to the water, and a loose watercolor wash lets the boat’s reflection blur into green and blue below.
The eleventh work in the “Ocean” series is its most classic: a quiet portrait of a boat at rest, between harbor and open sea.
Original, signed with blind-embossed seal. Cotton paper, deckled edges, unframed.
