Two jellyfish drift upward through green water, their copper-colored bells glowing, long tentacles trailing behind like threads of rust and coral. A small red core pulses in each body.
Acrylic in sage green, rust and soft grey is pressed onto deckle-edged cotton paper and traced with fine, flowing ink lines. Copper acrylic gives the jellyfish a metallic shimmer, oil pastel sets dark accents in the depths, and a pale watercolor blue opens the space around them.
The twelfth work in the “Ocean” series is its most delicate: weightless creatures, moving slowly with the current, beautiful and untouchable.
Original, signed with blind-embossed seal. Cotton paper, deckled edges, unframed.
