A creature with flame-orange ears emerges from a closed bud, wings raised – half flower, half night flyer, caught in the moment of unfolding.
Earthy layers of acrylic in olive, umber and muted green are built up on deckle-edged handmade paper and shaped by dense ink hatching. A loose wash of watercolor blue opens the sky behind the figure, while spatters dissolve the form into the white of the paper.
The fifth work in the „Traumblüten“ series is its darkest and most figurative: a dream that is no longer just growing, but awakening.
