A stern face in profile emerges from layered fragments, positioned right at a vertical rift that divides the composition into two shores. A thin red line runs through the seam like a thread connecting both sides. Around him, washes of blue, sage and luminous yellow-green meet flakes of gold leaf that catch the light as the viewer moves.
The third work of the series “Shore Tales”, in which small figures, boats and houses appear at the edge between two worlds. Fine ink drawing, watercolor and acrylic combined with gold leaf on handmade paper. The deckled edges are part of the composition and work beautifully in a floating frame.
